THE NAVLIN CALENDAR

Learning happens in places.

Our event notes connect editorial topics with conversations, walks, workshops, and public questions. Each listing explains what to expect before you decide whether it fits your time and setting.

What an event is for

Navlin events are spaces for careful conversation rather than performances of expertise. A session may include a short explanation, a practical demonstration, a reading discussion, or a guided observation of a local route. Participants can listen without speaking, ask a question, or leave when their schedule requires. No event is a substitute for individual assessment or emergency support.

Listings identify the format, location, accessibility notes, expected duration, and any cost or registration condition. We try to describe the environment honestly, including stairs, outdoor heat, seating, noise, and route surfaces. If a detail changes, the listing should be updated before the event begins. Readers can contact the desk when the published information does not answer an important practical question.

A good event leaves people with a clearer question and a respectful way to keep exploring it.

How a listing is prepared

01

Define the purpose

The organiser states the question and keeps the session within an understandable editorial scope.

02

Check the setting

Location, route, weather considerations, seating, sound, and access information are gathered in advance.

03

Publish the details

The public listing shows date, duration, format, contact route, and any relevant commercial or partner disclosure.

04

Review afterwards

Feedback is considered for future access notes, topic selection, and corrections to the event record.

Before attending

  • Read the location, duration, access, and privacy notes.
  • Bring only the information you want to discuss publicly.
  • Ask the organiser about a requirement that is not described.
  • Choose clothing and transport suited to the setting and weather.
  • Do not continue an activity simply to complete an event example.

Questions about an event can be sent to Jalan Sudirman No. 18, Senayan, South Jakarta 12190, Indonesia, or +62 21 7123 8945.

After the calendar date

Event notes remain useful after a session has ended because they capture the question, format, and access information that shaped the conversation. A past event may lead to a journal summary, a correction, or a future reading list. The public record should distinguish what was scheduled from what actually occurred, especially when weather or venue conditions changed.

Photographs, recordings, and participant comments are handled with care. An organiser should explain the purpose before capturing material, and a reader should not assume that attendance is permission to publish another person’s identity. Questions about a caption, image, or event summary can be sent to Navlin for review.
